Assets Modelled and Mistakes pointed out.

I'm going to start this update off with the news the news I have modelled all my assets that I have initially planned to model. If I choose to expand the level I have a few more assets but I'm seeing how the main level goes first.


























So I for the next couple of weeks I will be Unwrapping and texturing assets. I will post caps of the assets as I go.

The main body of this update is showcasing some mistakes I have made that were pointed out to me.




































































































So for the rest of the week I will be correcting these mistakes. I will then re-import everything to double check everything is in order. Or if I have missed more things that need correcting.

Asset List Update

Thought whilst I'm here I'll include a screen shot of how my asset list is looking.
Yellow is Good. I'm making all my assets first so I get a sense of depth and feel to the level.

There are already extra assets that I want to include. I will think about adding them to the project once I have finished my initial list.

Here are some screen shots of the buildings legs. I've had a look and i'm quite happy with the shape and scale I have given them.

Whitebox screenshots

Imported my level into UDK to get a sense of scale and accuracy so far.
Quite happy with how smoothly everything seems to be going at the moment. I'm sure something is bound to go wrong in the next few days knowing my luck.

Currently finalising sketches and ideas for some assets such as the lift, chairs, tables etc. Currently i am on track with my planning for this project.

Quick update

Been busy getting final plans into place. Asset list is created but needs putting into a Excel doc.

Due to the nature of the building i've decided to build the blockout in 3ds Max. I'm more than aware of some of the problems that may arise in the future when importing into Unreal. I took this decision to preserve my sanity and ensure my work flow is constant.

I'm at the stage where i have all the walls, ceiling completed. I have all my doors and windows modelled too. I'm now onto creating assets to fill the space such as tables, chairs, cutlery, cash register's, toilet facilities etc.

I will focus on the view from the windows after all indoor assets have been created. The outdoor assets include the surrounding buildings and the building's legs.
